About

Our Story:

The Designers Collective partnership between Tina and Brooke began when Brooke and her family decided to renovate their Point Grey home in 2002 and hired Tina, along with her husband Graham, as architects for the project. Realizing their relationship was more of a kindred spirit variety than client-architect, this project soon blossomed into a creative partnership as Designers Collective.

The goal behind Designers Collective is to disrupt interior design in Vancouver and beyond. By working through design projects with clients, offering educational tours and workshops, as well as showcasing design finds through online content and curated Pop Up shops Tina and Brooke approach design as an endless well of inspiration that can be utilized by anyone for any space.

Tina Dhillon

Architect AIBC, Blogger, Graphic and Web Designer

Tina is a master problem solver and takes pride in finding the best possible spatial solutions. Her 25 years of experience include countless academic projects where her planning skills, keen eye for composition, materiality and detail have distinguished her work. Tina’s dual training in Urban Planning and Architecture allows her to navigate from large urban design issues to detailed interior planning with ease. Tina’s ability to realize a client’s vision through her refined sense of colour and proportion make her a great addition to any project team.

Brooke Hatfield

Interior Designer

Brooke’s background is in pediactric/maternal nursing. During the renovation of her family home in 2002 she found her passion for design and returned to school at BCIT in the Interior Design program. After BCIT Brooke apprenticed with a local design company specializing in soft goods. Here, Brooke learned about textiles and fabrics while also getting her feet wet starting her own interior design company, Brooke Hatfield Design.

Since 2006 Brooke has been assisting homeowners in bringing their personality and character into the design of their homes. Her favourite projects are renovations. She loves to  be involved from beginning to end– starting with meticulous planning and following through every stage of the design process through to adding final touches of decor. Her personal esthetic has always leaned towards classic lines but loves aspects of contemporary design.  She is thrilled to be part of Designers Collective and continue to experiment with new design elements.
