LOCAL LOVE A Curated Pop Up Shop February 4-7, 2016

We are very excited to announce our latest pop up project called LOCAL LOVE!

Local Love is an innovative pop-up that pioneers a new way of thinking about our local creative community. LOCAL LOVE will be held at the Ian Tan Gallery on Granville Street and will integrate the fine art showcased in the gallery with the work of local artisans.

The Art is enhanced through exposure to a broader audience in a casual, yet elegant, environment, while the handmade pieces gain their rightful place as objects d’art.  We feel this is such a ‘win win’ because it is good for our local talent and it shows Ian Tan’s willingness to break out of the conventional gallery formula, which underscores his entrepreneurial inventiveness by providing a unique retail experience for his customers and letting the art world know that craft is an art form.

We will be telling you more very soon!

JaiStyle  Jai Style founder Karen Carmichael spent 16 years living throughout Asia. Home for Karen and her family has included Beijing, Surabaya, Jakarta, Seoul, Singapore and Bangkok. Living throughout this region has served as an inspiration for her to share some of the stunning treasures that she has discovered in her travels. These include one of a kind ceramic pieces, inspired by sea life and are a superb example of the art of hand made ceramics. All the designs are exclusive to Jai Style. In addition, Karen individually selects amulets, in many styles and shapes, from the amulet markets on the streets of Thailand. Thai people have worn amulets for centuries as a form of protection.
