Paint happy accessories, we show you how here.
Start with a clean slate. Have a section of the fridge dedicated to drinks. Add lemon slices to a glass pitcher with water and ice to take it into the “happy” zone.
Add an area rug in front of the sink. It will catch drips but will help show off your personality.
Now add in the highlight wall. Start with a chalkboard or message board for family to leave notes for one another. Supplement a few pictures for a charming addition. Add a calendar to stay organized.
Choose your favourite bowl and complete with some fresh and colourful fruit. Its a great snack but also adds to the freshness of a kitchen.
Peruse your local stores or look online for colourful and artful accessories and cookware. Inject them onto your kitchen count or table or walls. Look for vintage items as well. They are economical and unique and will also show off your personality.
Start a fresh herb container in your kitchen or patio for easy access while cooking your “happy” recipes.
Add fresh succulents or flowers in your favourite vase to any counter or table in your kitchen. Nothing says happy more than flowers! Fresh flowers bring new life and energy to any space and remind us that we are all beautiful, living beings. Flowers always delight the senses, while adding colour and fragrance.
Pull it all together with interesting kitchen textiles such as oven mitts, tea towels and window coverings.
Fold in the whimsy.
