2018: The Year of Ultra Violet

Earlier this week the Pantone Color Institute announced their pick for Colour of the Year! The institute focuses on identifying global colour trends and for 2018 they have painted the world purple….

Ultra Violet (or colour 18-3838) is described by Pantone as:

“Complex and contemplative, Ultra Violet suggests the mysteries of the cosmos, the intrigue of what lies ahead, and the discoveries beyond where we are now. The vast and limitless night sky is symbolic of what is possible and continues to inspire the desire to pursue a world beyond our own.”

Colour us inspired!

We did some hunting and found a few items that can bring a pop of Ultra Violet into your room of choice…

Left to right: Voluspa Candle in Santiago Huckelberry, Fragments – Pink and Purple by Gordon Weins, and the Geo VacuumThermos by Normann Copenhagen.

Left to Right: Gallery Leather 2017-2018 Journal found in Chapters, Baby Acapulco Chair with Purple Cord found at Vancouver Special, and Kitchenaid Mixer in Black Violet.

Left to Right: S’ip by Swell Water Bottle, Magnum Beanbag Chair in Purple Felt, and an Oversized Mohair Bed Throw found at Restoration Hardware.

Happy Colouring!
