Fall Style Picks

As the weather shifts from the radiance of the summer sun to the darker rainy mornings of October, we recognize our wardrobes need a shift as well. So what to wear? We have a few ideas to spur your own creativity and imagination with your attire.

Weekend tank tops and flip flops have to be retired for another year as our soft cozy sweaters make their way to the front of the closet. Although many people don’t like the very worn look of some designer jeans these days, the look does not seem to be going anywhere in a hurry. Even Meghan Markle wore ripped and tattered jeans!

Throw on a cozy sweater along with short boots and a large handbag and you are set for a weekend away or doing errands in town. It’s an easy and comfortable look. The oversize handbag adds a hit of colour and can hold a myriad of sins.

Here’s another cool weather outfit:

A pair of flared plaid pants accompanied by a cropped sweater will keep you warm while keeping up with 2017. Loafers will keep your toes warm and comfortable all day with a camel wool coat, which has been in style for a few
years now, is still right on trend. It’s a definite go to for cool weather wear. A cross body satchel will keep your hands free.

Here is another more casual way to wear a midi skirt:

Some days you just feel like wearing a skirt but don’t want to dress it up. Pairing a big sweater with a midi flowing skirt is very big this Fall. Paired with any type of short boot from a heel to a worker boot works well with this look. Sometimes a black leather jacket can look a little harsh but it looks great with this look because the flowing skirt is a juxtaposition and the different textures work well together.

This outfit below is a little over the top price wise but it is great for inspiration. Maybe a trip to H&M is in order to find something similar to this flowy Ulla Johnson dress. Paired with a high boot it would be a perfect outfit to wear out to a special dinner. The Michael Kors mulberry purse just sets the right tone as well.
