Inspirations for Backyard Heating

Backyard Heating

So far we have discussed backyard entertaining, so today we thought we would talk about backyard heating. As dusk settles in in Vancouver it can tend to get a little chilly. So what are our options if we want to extend our hours of outdoor entertaining? Patio or deck heaters used to be just for restaurants but now they are found in residential use. You can find ones that are portable and are run by propane but there are also more permanent ones that can have gas lines permanently installed into the wall or above if the deck is covered-both are great options especially on a new build. Then of course there are firepits, which add such an ambiance to any space.

Here are some images of all types of outdoor heating we found that may inspire you.

This one is from our recent Design Crawl in Los Angeles:

So overall you can see there are options for every budget from throws to portable fire pits to built in gas heaters. Anyway that works for you will help you feel cozier in your outdoor space as you watch the sun disappear with friends or family. Enjoy!!
